COLLAB CALENDAR 04/30/25

Posted by NGAPCC - 7 hours ago

Happy Pico Day everyone! Welcome to the Collab Calendar for April! These are all the Collabs that are being hosted on the NGAP Collab Center Discord Server. We’ll be covering the ones that are Open for Submission, the ones that are Closing and finishing production, and the ones that have published this month!

Open Collabs:

NGAP Terraria Remix Collab (Hosted by @andrewcr): An honest to goodness “says what it does on the tin” collab. Collaborators are tasked with remixing the various tracks in the hit game Terraria! There are no genre restrictions so be as creative as you like, just don’t sample the OG tracks or copy them one to one. AndrewCR has a signup sheet linked in the collab chat on the server! Collab will end when all tracks have been completed!

Welcome to NG City (Hosted by @yawnmorning): This one doesn’t really have a concrete theme, just make something inspired or based on Newgrounds. That’s pretty much it really, this collab tells you to just make whatever! An audiobook, drama, tax audit, as long as it’s Newgrounds adjacent and doesn’t have AI in it, it’s welcome! (Note: I don’t speak for the hoster when I say that, I’m just trying to get you onboard). Collab deadline is May 21st!

VGA Y2K Collab (Hosted by @Aalasteir): This collab is for NGs first low-poly day! Collaborator’s song must have a Y2K Video Game/Electronic theme to it and have the track be 1 to 7 minutes long. This is sure to be a vibe, even has its own little mascot, so look into it if you’re interested! The Collab ends June 1st, 2025! Check the BBS post to learn more

Slowly but Surely (Hosted by @Shletty): One big continuous track that slowly gets faster and faster over the course of its run, starting at 50 bpm and only going up from there. Each song needs to: increase the tempo by 10 within the runtime, be 32 bars long, and in the key of D to help with transitions. The Collab Ends May 1st! Join the server to learn more!

General MIDI Collab (Hosted by @88poly): This collab challenges its participants to make a 1 - 4 minute song with only a provided soundfont (Links to Discord Message). No samples, no external instruments, just the musician and their software! (effects are the exception). Sounds like quite the fun little exercise, The collab has no concrete deadline as of writing, but it will end May 2025!

NGAP Pride Collab (Hosted by @CrimsonKero): To celebrate Pride Month, Crimson is hosting a collab that welcomes anyone to join (if they’re respectful). It’s left open on how a collaborator wants their submission to sound, either by paying tribute to a LGBTQ+ musician they like or by making a piece based on their own experiences. No submission limits, make it a minimum of 1 minute; Collab ends June 25th!

Closing Collabs:

Hellish Dealings Audio Drama (Hosted by @Ferstofus): Hellish Dealings is a short audio drama written by Ferstofus, it already has a full cast and musicians have filled up the slots to make the OST, although I’m sure Ferstofus will allow more to join, if you ask. Production is scheduled around a 2 week period, so the release will most likely be in JUNE!

Fantastic month!

"One submission only"
I never said that.

Oops, my bad, I misread the instructions at the bottom

@NGAPCC The deadline's also wrong, but I can make extensions up until then:

ooo the pride collab is such a cute idea... was wondering if anything like that would pop up!!! got some terraria submissions i'm still slow on finishing up past my personal due-dates but if I'm feeling particularly sapphic one of these June days I Will use that as a sign to make something about it
